In a bold display of ignorance, pro-Palestine protesters in California blocked a U.S. Navy supply ship, falsely believing it was carrying aid for Israel. These anti-Israel activists, who seem to have lost touch with reality, continue to condemn Israel’s justified retaliatory attacks against Hamas terrorists. It’s important to note that these terrorists were responsible for launching a surprise attack on Israel, resulting in the deaths of over 1,400 innocent Israelis.
The protesters locked themselves to the carrier Cape Orlando, claiming it was transporting weapons to Israel. They also blocked the entrance to the ship’s berth and even went so far as to cling to a rope ladder, preventing workers from closing a door. It’s truly baffling how these individuals think their actions are productive or meaningful.
“Joe Biden you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide!”

Of course, the protest started with a small group of about 50 demonstrators, but it eventually grew to around 200. They chanted mindless slogans like, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” and “Hey, hey, ho, ho, the occupation has got to go.” These slogans clearly demonstrate their lack of understanding of the complex situation in the Middle East and their unwavering bias against Israel.
Unsurprisingly, one protester named Meena Abushamala expressed her rage and made baseless accusations, claiming that taxpayer dollars are funding a genocide and ethnic cleansing. It’s important to debunk these false claims and highlight the fact that Israel is defending itself against terrorists who seek to destroy it.
Thankfully, authorities were able to remove the three protesters clinging to the rope ladder, and the ship was able to depart. But the fact that these individuals found support from the House of Representatives is deeply concerning. Just earlier this week, the House approved sending $14.3 billion in federal aid to Israel, with 12 Democrats joining Republicans in backing the bill. It’s a relief to see some bipartisan support for our ally, but one can only hope that more lawmakers will recognize the importance of standing with Israel in the face of terrorism.
