President Biden and his team have been on a desperate mission to convince Americans that his economic policies are actually benefiting them. But, according to the recent poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, it seems that the American people aren’t buying it. And who can blame them?

Despite the White House’s claims, everyday Americans are still struggling to make ends meet. Biden’s promises of prosperity have turned out to be nothing more than empty words. The poll revealed that only 36 percent of American adults approve of Biden’s handling of the economy. Even worse, his overall job approval rating sits at a measly 42 percent, both numbers practically unchanged for the past year and a half.
It’s clear that Biden’s attempts to sell his economic agenda have fallen flat. Americans are smart enough to see through the smoke and mirrors. They know that their real wages have been in decline since Biden took office, and now they’re burdened with the highest interest rates in four decades. This is not the “build back better” that they were promised.
But it’s not just the lack of economic progress that’s hurting Biden’s poll numbers. The American people have little confidence in his ability to effectively manage the White House and achieve his policy goals. Only 23 percent of those polled have “a great deal of confidence” in Biden’s leadership, while a staggering 45 percent have “hardly any” confidence. It’s no wonder that only 34 percent of respondents believe the economy is in a “somewhat good” or “very good” state.
What’s most telling is that Americans are still struggling to understand what “Bidenomics” even means. When asked about the definition of Bidenomics, one respondent replied, “You know what, dude, I have no idea. Biden is a free market capitalist like most moderate Democrats are.” This confusion speaks volumes about the lack of clarity and coherence in Biden’s economic agenda.
President Biden can try to spin the narrative all he wants, but the reality is that his policies have brought more hardship than prosperity. The American people are feeling the pain, and no amount of gaffe-filled speeches can hide that fact. It’s time for Biden to take responsibility for his failures and start delivering on his promises. Unfortunately, it seems that his leadership is only leading our country further down the road of economic stagnation.
