In an audacious move, Abbott has been dispatching migrants to liberal stronghold cities such as Washington, D.C., New York City, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Chicago. Abbott, never one to shy away from controversy, decided to add Denver and Los Angeles to the list of sanctuary cities in 2023, citing an overwhelming surge of migrants coming through the southern border. “Operation Lone Star” kicked off in March 2021 with unprecedented gusto, leading to a whopping 497,600 apprehensions of unlawful migrants. Out of that staggering number, 39,000 were actually arrested, with a staggering 35,200 facing felony charges. It’s like a real-life action movie, but with political intrigue and suspense!
