Vice President Kamala Harris is certainly keeping busy—at least when it comes to pandering to Hollywood elites and Democrat bigwigs. It seems, however, that mothers mourning the tragic loss of their children to violent crimes and drugs have been left out of her inner circle. Those mothers, known as the Angel Moms, aren’t buying the vice president’s recent border photo op as a sign of genuine concern and have aired their grievances with striking force.
During a recent Trump campaign call, these courageous women took the opportunity to call out Harris for her neglect of the very issues that have wreaked havoc on their lives. The VP hasn’t exactly been a beacon of hope for families who’ve paid the ultimate price for the Biden administration’s reckless border policies. Each of these mothers has lost children to violence or fentanyl, tying their grief directly to Harris’s inaction as “border czar,” a title that has, until now, seemed more ceremonial than substantive.
One Angel Mom, Patty Morin, offered a scathing indictment of Harris, urging her to reinstate essential border protections that were rolled back during the disastrous early days of Biden’s tenure. Morin didn’t hold back, suggesting that without firm action to deport illegal aliens, countless others would be left vulnerable to the chaos that accompanies uncontrolled immigration. With a heart-wrenching personal story—her daughter’s murder at the hands of an illegal MS-13 gang member—Morin encapsulated what many Americans feel: it’s time for a return to policies that prioritize safety and lawfulness over appeasement.
Joining her in the critique, Alexis Nungaray posed a poignant question to Harris—will it take a personal tragedy for her to wake up and address the crisis at the border? Nungaray’s own experience mirrored that of too many. Her 12-year-old daughter’s life was stolen by a violent criminal who crossed the border illegally, turning Harris’s recent interest in border security into little more than a cruel punchline. Her frustration over Harris’s late-game attempt to look like she cares highlighted how out of touch the administration is with real American families suffering tragic losses.

Fundner, another member of this grieving band of mothers, drove the point home by labeling Harris’s sudden interest in border security as a purely political maneuver. After nearly four years of apathy, the mothers believe this latest effort has more to do with votes than with the lives destroyed by the policies currently in place. They readily pointed out that the Trump-era immigration policies worked, but instead of learning from the past, the Biden administration has favored a “let it be” approach that leaves more families at risk.
The stark statistics don’t lie; fentanyl-related deaths have skyrocketed since the Biden-Harris administration took over. With an influx of 30 tons of fentanyl since they stepped into office and a staggering 90 percent of opioid-related deaths involving fentanyl in 2021, it’s a grim reality. As Vice President Harris makes her way to the border, it’s clear that action is needed, and holding her accountable is just the beginning. The Angel Moms deserve more than empty words; they deserve a government that puts U.S. citizens first, before political expediency.
