Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez strutted into Munich last weekend, ready to lecture the world’s so-called “elites”—and to show off just how disconnected the American left has become from regular folks back home. The Munich Security Conference was supposed to be where powerful leaders talked about “global security.” Instead, it became another embarrassing highlight reel of liberal incompetence, as AOC fumbled her way through speeches and meetings, leaving a trail of confusion and eye-rolls.
While AOC basked in camera flashes and applause from fellow globalists, millions of Americans watched with disbelief. Politicians like her love to hang out in fancy overseas hotels, pretending they care about the little guy. Meanwhile, their actual constituents here in the U.S. deal with crime, sky-high groceries, and a border disaster. Ocasio-Cortez made it clear whose side she’s on: not America’s.

It was no surprise that her performance was an unmitigated disaster. The left loves to lecture the rest of us about “democracy” and “freedom,” but when it comes to defending American values, they cozy up to international elites who have nothing but contempt for the country that made them famous. And when AOC tripped up, guess who came running to clean up her mess? The liberal media—always ready to spin reality and pretend the emperor isn’t naked. When one of their own faces embarrassment on the world stage, there’s always a Bloomberg or CNN willing to cover it up.
Events like the Munich Security Conference are the playgrounds of people who want America to be weaker. They use these get-togethers to plot against free markets, get cozy with foreign powers, and pat themselves on the back for all the “progress” they think they’re making. Regular citizens? They’re not even in the picture. The American people know a scam when they see one. Whenever these so-called leaders gather, smart folks protect their wallets and hold tight to our Constitution—because you can bet the people in that room would love to rewrite it.
If this is the kind of leadership Democrats want to offer America in 2028, they’re in for a rude awakening. Ocasio-Cortez and her cheerleaders in the press are out-of-touch, out-of-ideas, and out-of-control. Isn’t it time real Americans step up and send a message to the globalist class: Our country isn’t for sale, and our freedoms are not up for negotiation. Who’s really running the show—America’s citizens, or the pampered elites who think they know better?
