Similarly, Governor Kathy Hochul’s disparaging remarks about Trump supporters as “clowns” reflect a broader elitist attitude within the Democratic Party.
The rally attendees viewed the Democratic leadership in New York as out of touch with their needs and values. Their presence at the event signifies a political awakening and a strong belief in the former president.
