When politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez step on the world stage, Americans should expect them to at least know their own country’s history. But that’s asking too much from the left these days. Instead of sticking to facts, AOC showed the world just how little she truly understands about the American West—lecturing a Cabinet official overseas, and getting the basics wrong.
This is classic liberal arrogance. They love to pound their chests in foreign countries, claiming that America is some villain from the past. Yet, when pressed for real facts, they start twisting the truth to fit their “diversity, equity, and inclusion” agenda. It’s embarrassing to watch one of our own Congress members try to rewrite history to score woke points abroad.

And while AOC stumbles through her DEI script, Senator Marco Rubio comes in with a reality check. He talks about America’s real past, not a story made up to shame this country. Rubio reminds folks that, while our nation isn’t perfect, its foundation remains mighty. That’s more than can be said for AOC’s fantasy version of events, which seems to care more about offending Americans than respecting the truth.
What’s really going on here? It’s another tired attempt by the left to distract from their own failures at home by bashing America overseas. They never have real solutions—just recycled globalist talking points. They’d rather tear down the country than stand up for it, all for a cheap headline in Europe or applause from the Twitter mob.
Patriots shouldn’t sit back and watch while these elites slander our nation to strangers and try to “DEI” the land that built the American Dream. Maybe next time, someone should remind AOC that facts still matter. Or is teaching American history just another piece of the liberal agenda to be rewritten and erased?
