AOC, Squad Under Fire for Backing Hamas Over AIPAC’s Rape Claims

Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and Rep. Cori Bush, two members of the far-left “Squad,” are under fire for their outrageous attack on the pro-Israel American Public Affairs Committee in Israel (AIPAC). The controversy began when AIPAC raised awareness of Hamas’s heinous sexual crimes and warned that a ceasefire with the terror group would keep the “rapist monsters” in power.

In response, AOC came to the defense of the terrorist group, accusing AIPAC of targeting women members of Congress who have survived sexual assault with horrific rhetoric and comparing AIPAC to the NRA of foreign policy. She even went as far as to lament their role in US politics as a scandal.

Her fellow Squad member, Cori Bush, echoed this sentiment, condemning AIPAC’s “tactic of exploiting rape” and alleging that their playbook relies on bullying, lying, and harassment. She vowed that their tactics wouldn’t stop them from calling for a ceasefire.

AIPAC, not backing down, called AOC’s actions “appalling” and accused her of spreading toxic lies about pro-Israel Americans while refusing to condemn Hamas’ systematic rape of Israeli women. Other public figures, including fellow lawmakers and activists, criticized the radical Squad members for their stance, with some even questioning their empathy and understanding of the situation.

This controversy stems from Israel’s release of a report detailing the sexual violence committed by Hamas during the unprecedented October 7 massacre. The report, compiled by the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel, paints a horrifying picture of rape, sexual assault, and mutilation carried out by Hamas as part of a deliberate strategy of sexual violence.

The findings have been submitted to the United Nations for review, highlighting the severity of the situation and the need for condemnation of Hamas’ actions. The public outcry against AOC and Cori Bush’s defense of the terrorist group underscores the need for a united front in condemning such heinous acts and the need to prioritize the safety and well-being of all victims.
