Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just delivered a cringeworthy performance for the whole world to see, and nobody should be surprised. While trying to take on President Trump at the Munich Security Conference, this “Squad” superstar got tripped up by the basics—proving, once again, that the Democrat bench is embarrassingly shallow. She tried tossing out a zinger about U.S. foreign policy but ended up sounding like she’d missed geography class entirely. It was the kind of facepalm moment that makes you wonder how these people ever get elected.
This wasn’t just a simple mistake. It was liberal incompetence on full display, and it happened in front of world leaders. Democrats like AOC love to scold the right about America’s place in the world, yet they can’t get their facts straight when it really counts. Instead of strengthening America’s standing, AOC just handed our rivals another reason to laugh at us. Her so-called attack on Trump fizzled because Democrats can never resist putting their personal grudges above our country.

Even more outrageous is the hypocrisy. These progressives always claim to be the adults in the room. But when given the international spotlight, they show the depth of their ignorance and lack of respect for America’s security needs. AOC was so eager to bash Trump that she forgot about real leadership. It’s clear she’s more comfortable yelling at her enemies on social media than actually standing up for the U.S. on the world stage.
It’s funny how the “Squad” loves to preach about globalism and America’s so-called moral failing. But when the cameras are on, their anti-American bias slips out faster than they can catch it. While she stumbles and mumbles, Beijing and Moscow are taking notes. Every failure, every misstep, is a win for America’s enemies—and AOC and her crew seem all too willing to hand them victory after victory.
Americans expect leaders who can stand their ground outside the echo chamber of Twitter. If this is the best Democrats have to offer, it’s no wonder their radical agenda gets laughed out of every serious conversation. Maybe next time, AOC should brush up on grade school geography before embarrassing her district—and her country. How much more of this amateur hour can America take from today’s Democrat Party?
