Iranian patriots are standing up and fighting for freedom with a courage that’s truly commendable. The oppressed masses in Iran are taking to the streets, demanding what we so often take for granted—basic human rights and liberty. But what are the liberals here doing? Instead of applauding these brave souls and supporting their cause, they’re busy virtue-signaling about their latest trendy cause. Isn’t it time to focus on real heroes?
The movement of defiant Iranians battling oppressive regimes reflects the core values of freedom-loving nations everywhere. Yet, what’s the response from leftist elites? A deafening silence or, worse, hollow words that echo beyond their secure, gated communities. They champion every far-off, abstract “global” cause but conveniently ignore the fight for freedom happening right under their noses. The hypocrisy is staggering.

Iranians abroad are also yearning to be part of this change, standing in solidarity with their brethren back home. They’ve been searching for a way to connect, to voice their support. But instead of aiding these courageous folks, some self-proclaimed progressives would rather focus on divisive identity politics or concoct fake narratives about oppression in America—an America that offers opportunity and freedom so wildly generous it’s often taken for granted.
And let’s not forget how these supposed champions of the downtrodden keep cozying up with regimes known for their tyrannical grip. Their obsession with appeasement and diplomacy over decisive action undermines the resolve of those fighting for justice. Time and time again, they slap sanctions and express “deep concern” with all the forcefulness of a wet noodle. Are we going to wait for them to finally grow a backbone?
Iran is the scene of a new revolution, one that demands genuine support. Every person who believes in liberty should stand with these brave folks. When the dust settles, will we applaud those who stood on the right side of history, or uphold the status quo of feckless liberal inaction? If their silence continues, the answer is embarrassingly clear.
