Some outlets like CNN have confidently reported that officials believe the shots fired were indeed meant for Trump. State officials have connected the dots, suggesting a semi-automatic rifle, along with a backpack and a GoPro camera, were found near the scene, hinting at a chilling intention to record the assassination attempt. Perhaps this individual took a page out of the “how to make a terrible decision” handbook.
Local authorities confirmed the apprehension of a suspect based on witness accounts, which left the law enforcement community sounding almost baffled by the situation.
