Biden and Harris Soft on Hamas Repeatedly Fail to Hold Terrorists Accountable

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are missing in action when it comes to holding Hamas accountable for its atrocious actions. David Weinberg of The Jerusalem Post recently pointed out this glaring issue, raising eyebrows and questions regarding the administration’s priorities in the ongoing conflict. One has to wonder if the folks in the White House are busy with something else, or if they’re merely dodging responsibility.

The recent incident involving Aysenur Eygi, a dual U.S.-Turkish citizen, is a perfect illustration of the administration’s skewed response. Eygi was tragically shot during an anti-Israel protest, with the Israeli Defense Forces claiming it was likely an unintentional incident. Biden expressed outrage, stating he was “deeply saddened,” while offering no such vigorous condemnation when Hamas commits acts of terror. Clearly, the president’s moral compass points in a peculiar direction, allowing for selective outrage depending on who is doing the shooting.

Contrast this with how the administration reacted when Hamas executed Israeli hostages. According to Weinberg, the Biden-Harris duo was more concerned about pressuring Israel rather than holding Hamas accountable for its heinous acts. They were “pained” but not “outraged,” and their stern warnings about accountability fell flat with no follow-up action. The double standard couldn’t be more obvious; it seems that Hamas can do as it pleases without facing the consequences, while Israel is expected to fall on its sword for the sake of peace.

Weinberg emphasizes that after Hamas committed murder, instead of placing pressure on the terrorist organization, the administration took it upon itself to chastise Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not securing a hostage deal. This would be comical if it weren’t so serious. What’s next? Are we going to see Biden publicly shame Netanyahu for not hugging a Hamas leader? The Biden-Harris team appears more interested in appeasing terrorists than defending an ally.

In the end, holding Hamas accountable would require Biden and Harris to take a stand, and that, quite frankly, could cost them votes. The irony is thick, as one has to consider how many voters would favor a firm stance against those who engage in genocide. Instead, it seems the administration is prioritizing the next election cycle over national security and moral clarity, leading many to question who really holds the reins of power in this administration.
