The Biden administration’s war on America’s borders just hit another brick wall — from none other than a Biden-appointed federal judge. This judge dismissed the Department of Justice’s lawsuit aimed at cracking down on Illinois’ sanctuary city policies that shield illegal immigrants from federal law enforcement. It’s a bold slap in the face to anyone who still believes President Biden is serious about enforcing immigration laws. Instead, we get handouts for lawbreakers and a free pass for cities to defy federal authority with impunity.
Illinois and Chicago have long been havens for sanctuary policies that deliberately tie the hands of law enforcement. Local officials don’t just refuse to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE); they actively block them from doing their jobs without a warrant. Criminals are shielded from deportation. The DOJ rightly argued that these local ordinances fly in the face of the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause — federal law is supposed to trump state and local laws when those laws interfere with enforcement. But the judge threw that out, citing the Tenth Amendment as a shield for illegal sanctuary policies. That’s legal gymnastics to defend the indefensible.
Let’s be clear: these sanctuary laws are not about “public safety” as left-wing politicians like Chicago’s mayor want you to believe. They’re about pandering to radical open-borders activists and creating lawless enclaves where criminals can roam free. The idea that local cops should ignore federal immigration enforcement is not protecting anyone — except illegal aliens and those who enable them. The judge’s ruling undermines the rule of law. It essentially tells states and cities that they can pick which federal laws to follow, whether it’s immigration or anything else, because some politically biased court says so.

When Biden judges side with sanctuary cities over law enforcement, they’re stacking the deck against the American people and bowing to globalist, anti-sovereignty interests. The DOJ is going after sanctuary cities elsewhere — New York, Los Angeles, Colorado — and each new lawsuit is met with predictable hostility from activist judges who see enforcing the law as a “reckless and inhumane” agenda. It’s absurd. The real recklessness is letting dangerous criminals walk free.
President Trump’s administration tried to clean up the mess, but the courts keep blocking it at every turn. Whether these judges are truly independent or just puppets for the Dems’ radical left agenda is an open question. But one thing’s certain: if these activists keep sabotaging immigration laws, America loses. Borders become meaningless, crime rises, and communities suffer. So here’s a simple question: how long will conservatives stand by while rogue judges dismantle our laws and protect lawbreakers over honest citizens? The fight for America’s safety and sovereignty is far from over — and it’s time to fight smarter, harder, and bolder than ever.
