Biden Blames GOP in Border Blame Game – Sells Dud Deal!

President Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech was just another opportunity for the old timer to point fingers at congressional Republicans and blame them for the border crisis. With a dramatic flair, Biden claimed that the GOP is to blame for the more than 8 million illegal crossings because they didn’t hop on board with his border deal drama. But come on, let’s be real here – who’s actually surprised by this? The GOP has been giving ol’ Joe a hard time about immigration for ages, and it looks like they’re not about to let up anytime soon.

Biden tried to sell the American people on this bipartisan border deal like he was a used car salesman at the end of the month, but the Republicans weren’t buying it. And why should they? Biden’s deal didn’t actually solve anything; it just would’ve given him some political cover while the border crisis raged on. The plan would’ve barely made a dent in the mess at the border, but Biden acted like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Please.

Of course, no Biden speech would be complete without a jab at Donald Trump, right? He took the opportunity to throw shade at his likely presidential rival, making it clear that he’s still not over the last election. It’s like he’s stuck in campaign mode while the rest of us are trying to move on. And let’s not forget how Biden brought up the Border Patrol union endorsing his border deal like it was some kind of gold star. But, let’s be honest, that endorsement doesn’t make his deal any less of a dud.

And as if we needed more reminders of the never-ending Trump-Biden feud, Biden had to throw in some jabs about Trump’s immigration policies. It’s like he can’t resist the urge to take shots at his predecessor every chance he gets. The only thing missing from his speech was a banner that said “I’m not Trump!” Talk about beating a dead horse.

Biden might think he’s the hero of immigration, but recent polls are painting a different picture. It turns out that illegal immigration is at the top of voters’ worry list, even beating out foreign policy and the economy. So, maybe it’s time for Biden to take a good, hard look at his approach to the border crisis. If he’s not careful, this issue could come back to bite him in the next election. But hey, who knows? Maybe he’ll still be blaming Republicans for the border mess when that time comes.
