Once more, Joe Biden was unable to remain silent regarding the Israeli invasion of Gaza. His request for a "pause" or cessation of hostilities is precisely what Hamas desires. This is not unexpected behavior from the Biden administration; however, it serves as an additional illustration of their ambivalent stance regarding this matter. They even obstructed a United Nations resolution that advocated for an analogous cessation of hostilities during a period in which Israel was bombarded with heavy air and artillery bombardment. Additionally, the timing of Biden's remarks is highly revealing.

During a campaign event in Minnesota, a state he is frantic to win next year, Biden uttered these remarks. That is to be expected. Minnesota is rife with electors who support or sympathize with terrorism. Biden appears to be willing to do anything to appease his supporters, including acting against our most steadfast ally in the Middle East.
The President opined that the Israel-Hamas War should be halted in order to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and free the captives in the region. Commencedly, Joe? Considering that we've been engaged in combat since October 7th, you now find it appropriate to pause? Permit Israel to take the necessary steps to eliminate the militants. Two-state solutions and diplomatic discussions are not appropriate at this time. We must allow Israel to do what it does best, which is defend itself and eliminate the Hamas threat.
Not to mention the fact that Hamas was apprehended hijacking and stockpiling humanitarian supplies. They have no interest in promoting peace or aiding their own citizens. A cessation of hostilities benefits the militants but not the defenseless civilians entangled in the conflict. Individuals who advocate for Israel and seek peace ought to steadfastly insist on the eradication of Hamas. Pro-terrorist activists who seek to undermine our ally and sow disorder in the Middle East must be confronted head-on.
