In the latest State of the Union address by President Joe Biden, the room was buzzing, but not for the right reasons. The standout moment, or rather, the cringe-worthy one, was when Biden stumbled over the name of Laken Riley, the Georgia nursing student tragically killed by an illegal alien. With pressure from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Biden attempted to acknowledge the young woman’s death, but oh boy, did he fumble – calling her “Lincoln” not just once, but twice. How can the President not even get the name right, you wonder?

It’s infuriating to see Biden’s lack of empathy and inability to address such a critical issue with the seriousness it deserves. The fact that he then tried to connect it to his own experiences, mentioning the loss of his children, comes off as tone-deaf and self-centered. It’s like he’s more concerned about sharing his personal anecdotes than taking meaningful action to prevent such tragedies from happening again.
And when Biden speaks about “thousands of people being killed by illegals,” it’s a stark reminder of the urgent need for stronger border security measures. Illegal immigration isn’t just a talking point; it’s a real crisis that affects the safety and well-being of American citizens. Instead of deflecting blame or offering empty condolences, it’s time for concrete solutions to protect our borders and prevent further harm.
But leave it to Speaker Nancy Pelosi to miss the mark entirely. Criticizing Biden for using the term “illegal” instead of the more politically correct “undocumented,” Pelosi once again shows how out of touch she is with the concerns of everyday Americans. Her focus on semantics rather than substance exposes the Democrats’ disregard for the real issues at hand – the safety and security of our nation.
It’s a shame to see the Speaker of the House prioritize political correctness over acknowledging the tragic loss of innocent lives like Laken Riley’s. The dismissive attitude towards addressing the root cause of these preventable deaths only fuels the frustration and anger felt by those who demand action, not just empty words. With marjorie Taylor Greene leading the charge, it’s clear that conservatives aren’t backing down on holding our leaders accountable for securing our borders and keeping Americans safe.
