In the Biden family’s federal gun crime trial, some family members will be taking the stand to testify. Hallie Biden, the wife of President Biden’s late son Beau, will testify for the government about Hunter Biden’s continued drug use despite efforts to stop. She will also discuss her own drug use, which may be embarrassing. Hallie was in a relationship with Hunter in 2018 and will be testifying under an immunity agreement.
The prosecutors will also call Kathleen Buhle, Hunter’s ex-wife and mother of his three daughters, as a witness. She will not be testifying under an immunity agreement. On the defense side, attorney Abbe Lowell plans to call President Biden’s brother, James Biden, as a witness. He will testify that Hunter looked up to him as more than an uncle, but as a friend, and that he supported Hunter through rehab stints.

House Republicans have raised concerns about James Biden’s business dealings with Hunter and loans that President Biden made to his brother after leaving the vice presidency. James Biden has testified before Congress, denying that he used his brother’s name for personal gain in business.
