In a move that is sure to leave many Americans scratching their heads, President Joe Biden has just given federal workers their largest pay raise in over 40 years. This comes at a time when many Americans are struggling to make ends meet, as their wages fail to keep up with the rising costs caused by Bidenflation.

Biden issued an executive order on December 21, which implemented a 4.7 percent across-the-board increase in basic pay for over two million government workers. And that’s not all – the military will also be receiving a 5.2 percent pay raise. It seems that while Biden’s failing economic policies have caused the cost of living to skyrocket, he’s more than happy to give his government workers a raise to compensate.
But it gets even better for federal employees. Thanks to a revamping of the locality pay area map, around 33,300 workers will actually see an even larger pay raise than expected. The Biden administration adjusted the map to account for the high rate of inflation that Biden himself caused. It’s almost as if he’s trying to make up for his own economic shortcomings with other people’s money.
This pay raise, which goes into effect on January 14 for most government workers, will be the largest at one time for federal employees since the 1970s. It’s no wonder that the federal workforce continues to grow, with an additional 81,000 government jobs created between December 2022 and August 2023 alone. At this rate, the federal workforce will soon outnumber the population of several states.
Not surprisingly, federal employees overwhelmingly donate to Democrats. In 2020, donations from federal employees to Democrats totaled $27,141,594, compared to just $9,026,820 for Republicans. It seems that those who benefit the most from big government are more than willing to fund the party that supports their agenda.
Meanwhile, millions of hardworking Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and struggling to find job security. A recent survey found that 61 percent of Americans fall into this category, with even higher percentages for those earning lower incomes. And thanks to Bidenonomics, homelessness in the United States has hit a record high, with the biggest increase happening among families with children.
