Biden Harris Losing Support Among Black Voters Raising Concerns for 2024 Election

In a recent poll conducted by The Washington Post, an unsettling truth has surfaced for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris – they appear to be losing support among black voters, a key demographic that Democrats have traditionally relied on for strong support.

The poll, which sampled 2,274 Americans, focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) issues. What caught the eye of many was the significant oversampling of black respondents, accounting for 54% of those polled. This overrepresentation leaves room for questioning the motives behind such a skewed sample size.

Interestingly, the data revealed that while most respondents were supportive of DEI initiatives, a significant portion of black Americans expressed disdain towards the prospect of a Biden reelection. In fact, a staggering 33% of black respondents showed a negative sentiment towards Biden securing a second term in office.

Even more alarming for the Biden-Harris ticket was the revelation that 14% of black respondents indicated a potential favorable outlook on former President Donald Trump being reelected. This shift in sentiment could spell trouble for Biden, who traditionally relies on overwhelming black voter support to secure victory.

Moreover, the poll shed light on the unpopularity of Vice President Kamala Harris among black voters. A striking 25% of black respondents expressed doubt about Harris’s qualifications to assume the presidency in the event something were to happen to Biden.

With these findings in mind, it appears that the Democratic stronghold over the black vote is showing signs of weakening. If Biden and Harris fail to address the concerns raised by this poll and regain the trust of black voters, they may find themselves in a precarious position come election time.
