In a stunning development, Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, claimed that his father was “not financially” involved in any of the Biden family’s business deals. Hunter made this statement to reporters on Wednesday, as he boldly refused to sit for a subpoenaed interview with impeachment inquiry investigators. But is this claim really true?

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, has presented a list of evidence that directly contradicts Hunter’s assertion. According to Johnson, Joe Biden received “direct monthly payments” from Hunter’s “Owasco PC” business account, which was allegedly funded by Chinese-state linked companies and other foreign nationals and companies. Furthermore, an FBI FD-1023 form alleges that Joe Biden accepted a $5 million bribe while he was vice president.
These financial ties are just the tip of the iceberg. Joe Biden has also been accused of having multiple interactions with Hunter’s business associates on at least 22 separate occasions. In addition, he has been caught lying about his involvement in the family business. And let’s not forget about the Justice Department’s questionable behavior during their five-year investigation into Hunter Biden.
Hunter Biden himself claimed that his father had no financial involvement in his various business ventures, including his partnership with a Chinese private businessman and his investments at home and abroad. However, given the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, it’s difficult to take Hunter’s word at face value. It seems like just another attempt to deflect attention away from the growing scandal surrounding the Biden family.
The House Oversight Committee Chair, James Comer, and Judiciary Committee Chair, Jim Jordan, were not impressed by Hunter’s refusal to cooperate. They have threatened to hold him in contempt of Congress, which could result in a fine of up to $100,000 and even imprisonment. This is a serious consequence that should not be taken lightly.
It’s clear that House Republicans are not going to let Hunter off the hook. They are determined to get to the truth, even if it means resorting to contempt proceedings. This is how investigations should be conducted, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to uncovering the facts.
The investigation into the Biden family’s activities began in November 2022, and the findings so far have been damning. Not only did Joe Biden receive money from his brother and son, but nine other Biden family members were found to have received payments from the family’s foreign business ventures. This includes two of the president’s own grandchildren. These revelations raise serious questions about the ethics and integrity of the Biden family.
It’s high time that Joe Biden and his family are held accountable for their actions. The American people deserve to know the truth, and it’s the duty of Congress to ensure transparency and justice.
