Hunter Biden is facing three federal charges related to purchasing a gun while using illegal narcotics. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges, including falsely submitting a form stating he was not using drugs when he bought a revolver in 2018. Prosecutors allege that Hunter Biden illegally possessed the weapon, which Hallie Biden disposed of in a public dumpster in 2018.
In court documents, Hallie Biden has been identified as “witness 3” and described as being “in a romantic relationship with the defendant in October 2018.” If convicted, Hunter Biden could face up to 25 years in prison. The trial, which is set to begin on June 3 in Wilmington, Delaware, is expected to last about two weeks.
In addition to Hallie Biden, Hunter Biden’s ex-wife Kathleen Buhle and ex-girlfriend Zoe Kestan are also expected to testify in the trial. Furthermore, Hunter Biden is facing separate federal tax charges, with that case set to go to trial on June 20 in California. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges as well.
