Former President Barrack Obama expressed concern about former President Trump’s potential run in 2024 during a private meeting with President Biden. However, Obama made it clear that Trump remains a formidable opponent and possesses an intensely loyal following.

Eric Schultz, a senior adviser to Obama, declined to comment on the specific details of the lunch meeting. Instead, Schultz focused on the Obama team’s commitment to reaching new audiences and mobilizing voters. While Biden is expected to secure the nomination, he still faces challenges from potential challengers within the Democratic Party. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has gained significant support, polling consistently at around 10-15 percent. Additionally, Dr. Cornel West and Marianne Williamson are diverting support away from Biden, causing concern among Democrat strategists.
Of particular concern is West’s candidacy, as he seeks the Green Party nomination. Many voters dissatisfied with the establishment are drawn to West, further complicating the Democratic nomination process.
