In a recent AP-NORC poll, it was revealed that President Joe Biden is facing an uphill battle when it comes to winning over the hearts and minds of the American people. While some folks are starting to feel the positive effects of the booming economy, Biden’s approval rating has failed to keep pace.
The survey, which included 1,152 respondents, found that only 35% of them believe the economy is on the up and up, a significant increase from last year. However, Biden’s approval has remained stagnant at around 40% for the past year. It seems like people are enjoying the economic upswing, but they’re not giving Biden any credit for it.

Even Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell chimed in, pointing out that despite record-low unemployment rates, some folks are still grumbling about the economy. He mentioned that the rising cost of living has put a damper on people’s perceptions, and it’s making them feel less confident about the state of the economy.
And it gets worse for Biden. The poll indicated that younger Democratic voters, particularly those in the 18-39 age range, aren’t exactly sold on the idea that the economy is getting better. This is bad news for Biden, especially as he gears up for what promises to be a fierce face-off with former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.
It’s like Biden’s out here trying to take credit for a party he wasn’t invited to. The economy’s getting its groove back, and folks are noticing, but they’re not giving Biden any high-fives for it. With Trump lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce on any opportunity to make Biden look bad, the president better have a trick or two up his sleeve if he wants to win over skeptical voters. It’s a tough spot to be in, but that’s the rough and tumble world of politics for you!
