President Joe Biden was spotted enjoying a leisurely stroll on Rehoboth Beach in Delaware while chaos erupted in the Middle East. The Hamas terrorists were busy wreaking havoc in Israel, and the United States had to scramble to prepare more troops for potential deployment to the region. But hey, who needs to deal with crises when you can take a breezy beach walk instead?
In a brief video clip, Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were seen happily strolling along the Atlantic beachfront while a reporter tried to ask him about the release of Americans being held hostage by Hamas terrorists. Biden, in his usual cheery manner, waved at the reporter but didn’t bother to stop and answer any questions. Who needs to address pressing national security matters when you can enjoy a jocund seaside perambulation, right?

The Republican National Committee (RNC) Research group didn’t hold back in their criticism, pointing out the obvious irony of Americans being held hostage while Biden relaxed at the beach. Meanwhile, in an attempt to show some semblance of concern, the White House announced that Biden had spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The president expressed his appreciation for Israel’s support in helping secure the release of the two American hostages. It’s nice to know that Biden could spare a phone call while enjoying his beach time.
But let’s not forget the real action happening behind the scenes. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered additional U.S. troops to prepare for deployment to the Middle East. We can only hope that they are more focused on their duties than the president seems to be. It’s a shame that Biden’s beach walks aren’t enough to solve the crises unfolding around the world.
