Nikki Haley, a Republican presidential candidate, did not hold back in her criticism of President Biden, accusing him of causing the war in Israel and failing to provide adequate support for allies and national security. In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Haley described the situation as “true evil” and placed the blame squarely on Biden’s shoulders. She emphasized that Biden’s silence in the face of American hostages and casualties is indicative of his lack of action and concern.
Haley’s response came after a surprise terrorist attack by Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, on Israel. Using a combination of rocket fire and a hostage situation involving Israeli soldiers and civilians, Hamas provoked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to declare war on the group. The severity of the attack only served to reinforce Haley’s criticism of Biden.
One of the key points Haley raised was Biden’s decision to unfreeze billions of dollars to Iran, which she referred to as a “terrible deal.” Many other Republicans have also voiced their grievances, arguing that this move by Biden ultimately led to the attack on Israel. In a post on X, Haley outlined several actions she believes America should take to aid Israel. These include providing arms and intelligence, warning regional governments like Lebanon not to support the war, cutting off American taxpayer money to Palestinian or UN entities that align with Hamas or fail to denounce anti-Semitic activities, and refreezing the billions of dollars meant for Iran. Haley made it clear that Israel needs the support of the United States in this battle between good and evil.
The conflict between Israel and Gaza has already resulted in over a thousand deaths and a reported 100 hostages held by Hamas. The militant group has even threatened to execute a civilian for every unprovoked Israeli attack on Gaza. Haley’s passionate plea for action underscores the urgent need to prioritize national security and support America’s allies during this tragic situation.
