The Biden administration’s latest tactic in handling illegal immigration is nothing short of comedy gold for anyone keeping score. Rather than taking sensible measures to deter migrants from crossing the border illegally, the government has resorted to a questionable method: bribing them with what can only be described as an enticing welcome package. Enter the bewildering world of the CHNV parole program, where taxpayers are footing the bill for a not-so-secret shopping spree for illegal immigrants.
The CHNV parole program, which stands for a string of bureaucratic jargon, is essentially a way for the government to offer illegal migrants a nice little handout, all while wrapping it up in a shiny, deceitful package. This would-be immigration reform doesn’t just provide these migrants with a free pass; it also attempts to disguise the transaction from the light of day, as if hiding in the shadows makes it any less of a colossal misstep.
While the administration might think that throwing money at the issue will solve it, the reality is that it’s practically waving a neon sign inviting more migrants to come. It’s as if the government is saying, “Hey, feel free to break the law! We’ll even pay you for your trouble, and we won’t tell anyone about it.” This approach not only undermines lawful immigration but sends the message that there’s no real consequence for stepping over the border.
Of course, the chatter about this not-so-brilliant plan among conservative circles has been rife with mockery. Critics argue that instead of reinforcing border security or even contemplating policies that might actually work, this administration has decided to adopt a kind of passive-aggressive approach—essentially bribing those who choose to ignore the legal pathways to citizenship. It seems the only thing more inflated than the migrant numbers is the administration’s creative capacity to bungle the issue.

As America grapples with an unprecedented border crisis, loaning out taxpayer dollars to migrants in a clandestine manner is hardly a viable solution. Instead of crafting policies that protect national sovereignty and prioritize citizens, the Biden administration has embraced a slapdash scheme that risks America’s safety and finances. In the government’s never-ending quest to seem compassionate, it appears to have forgotten one simple truth: rewarding unlawful entry into the country is no way to address illegal immigration, no matter how cleverly it gets packaged.
