Once again, the United States-Mexico border is facing a massive influx of illegal migrants, thanks to President Joe Biden’s refusal to take any meaningful action. Despite the White House’s feeble attempt to convince Americans otherwise, the border remains unsecured and overwhelmed by the relentless flow of migrants.

It’s no wonder that Americans are growing increasingly frustrated with this situation. Not only are these illegal aliens putting a strain on local resources, but they are also bringing with them deadly drugs like fentanyl and engaging in despicable acts such as sex trafficking. The dangers they pose to our communities cannot be ignored.
One incident in Staten Island perfectly exemplified this anger and frustration. A group of infuriated residents took to the streets to protest the arrival of a bus carrying illegal migrants to a newly converted shelter. The protestors, rightfully expressing their discontent, chanted, “You’re not welcome!” and “You are illegal!” Their message was loud and clear: we will not stand idly by as our country is flooded with those who have no respect for our laws and values.
Despite the justified outrage from the people, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat, dismissed the protestors’ concerns, calling their demonstration “ugly.” How can he dismiss the genuine concerns of his constituents who are witnessing the detrimental impact of this unchecked migration firsthand? It is disappointing to see a public official prioritizing political optics over the well-being of his community.
The border crisis shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, on a single day, Border Patrol agents apprehended almost 10,000 illegal migrants attempting to cross the border. This number is alarmingly close to the record high of over 10,000 encounters in May. Over the span of just a few days, agents encountered a whopping 35,000 migrants. These astronomical figures are evidence that Biden’s so-called solutions have done nothing to stem the flow of illegal migration.
Even liberal media outlets are begrudgingly admitting that Biden’s border crisis is spiraling out of control. CNN host Sara Sidner couldn’t ignore the undeniable truth, acknowledging that “The migrant crisis at the southern border is exploding once again.” It’s about time that the mainstream media acknowledges the disastrous consequences of Biden’s weak immigration policies.
This situation is an absolute travesty. The border is under siege, communities are suffering the consequences, and yet President Biden refuses to take any meaningful action. It’s clear that his priorities lie elsewhere, disregarding the welfare and safety of American citizens. We need strong leadership that prioritizes our national security and upholds the rule of law.
