The Biden administration, along with figures like Alejandro Mayorkas and Jared Polis, is starting to resemble a broken record—except this record cracks at the truth more than any vinyl ever could. Several months into his term, Joe Biden’s promises about the border have proven to be as solid as a sandcastle at high tide. Forget the soothing statements about a “secure border”; reality has different plans, and it doesn’t seem to include any of Biden’s sunshine and rainbows.
Under this administration, the immigration situation has spiraled out of control. Far from the unicorns and rainbows they depicted, the southern border is a chaotic mess, populated by overflowing migrant camps and a record number of illegal crossings. While Biden, Mayorkas, and Polis have been touting supposed successes, the numbers speak for themselves. They’ve either been woefully misinformed or simply ignoring the carnage they’ve caused. Either option isn’t encouraging.
With each press conference, Mayorkas insists he has a handle on things — but it’s clear that he’s managing the border like a circus ringmaster who’s lost control of the big cats. Instead of taming the situation, the policies they’ve enacted have unleashed more chaos than before. Even Democrats in key states are beginning to sweat as the consequences of these misguided policies come back to bite them. Amid rising crime rates and overwhelmed communities, the fallout is becoming too loud to ignore.

And let’s not forget Jared Polis, the governor of Colorado, who has jumped on the bandwagon of denial. His assertions about crime and safety in relation to the border situation seem to come straight from a fairy tale rather than the realities faced by everyday Americans. With crime rates climbing and taxpayers feeling the pinch from the influx of resources being diverted to manage the fallout, it’s no wonder that voters are waking up. They know the truth, even if their leaders are too busy spinning tales to admit it.
As the administration continues to cling to its spin, the vast chasm between their narrative and reality is only growing. The American people are smarter than they’re given credit for, and they are witnessing a direct relationship between the administration’s lies and their community’s struggles. While politicians play their games, the average American has to navigate the fallout. It’s hard not to wonder if those on Capitol Hill ever manage to peel themselves away from the press room to face the real world. If only the public relations team could fix what the leaders have broken, then maybe there would be some truth left in this saga.
