Despite their relentless parade of promises and reassurances that the border is secure, reality has a funny way of shattering illusions. In the latest act, the figures on illegal immigration numbers tell a story that none of them seem keen to share.
Biden and his administration have consistently touted a decrease in illegal crossings, insisting that their ‘humane’ approach to immigration is working wonders. Meanwhile, the real numbers suggest that illegal entries are not just high but may be setting record highs. It’s as if the border is the hottest new nightclub, with individuals from around the globe lining up to get in—all under the watchful eye of a misguided administration that can’t seem to grasp the concept of actual enforcement.
In the midterm elections, Biden pledged to protect American citizens, but the ongoing crisis raises the question of whether he’s more interested in coddling migrants than securing the nation. Even governors like Polis, who should know better given their proximity to the situation, are singing from the same misleading hymn sheet as Biden and Mayorkas. Instead of addressing actual issues in their states, they opt for broad-brushed statements praising the administration’s approach while the chaos continues unabated. It’s almost as if they believe that throwing a few sympathetic soundbites will overshadow the stark reality faced by border towns and the citizens who live near the chaos. But the people living in those regions aren’t buying the facade; they’re living it, and it’s neither pretty nor safe.
The border crisis is far from being a talking point; it’s a national issue that demands real solutions rather than empty reassurances. People are rightly asking how many lies can go unchecked before we demand accountability from those in charge. The funhouse mirrors of Biden, Mayorkas, and Polis do little to disguise the truth—the border is in trouble, and so is the credibility of those who insist otherwise.
