Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas is not a happy camper. In a recent interview with CNN, he expressed his frustration with the Biden administration’s radio silence on the border crisis. Salinas is smack dab in the middle of a significant surge of illegal immigrants, and it seems like Uncle Sam has left him high and dry.
According to Salinas, President Biden and his gang are to blame for this mess. Not only has the president failed to release a statement or offer any assistance, but Vice President Harris, the so-called “border czar,” hasn’t bothered to reach out either. Salinas is feeling pretty abandoned, and quite frankly, who can blame him? It’s time someone in the federal government steps up and takes responsibility.
Mayor Salinas is calling for one simple thing: the enforcement of our immigration laws. It’s not rocket science, folks. We are a nation of laws, and we should expect nothing less than for them to be upheld. Salinas believes that if people want to come to the United States, they should do it the right way. It’s not fair to those who have spent their time and money navigating the bureaucratic maze to see others waltzing across the border without a care in the world.

Eagle Pass has seen its fair share of the border crisis, but this week has taken the cake. The influx of illegal immigrants has been overwhelming, causing capacity issues that have local officials worried. If this trend continues, we could find ourselves reliving the nightmare of the Haitian bridge crisis from 2021. We all remember that chaos, don’t we? It’s like a broken record with this administration.
It’s time for action, folks. We can’t sit back and let this border crisis spiral out of control. The Biden administration needs to step up, enforce the laws, and secure our borders. Mayor Salinas is tired of being ignored, and so are hardworking Americans who expect their government to do its job. Let’s hope someone in Washington finally gets the memo because this situation is simply unacceptable.
