Instead of detaining migrants until their cases were settled, the government just let them loose into the country. This negligence didn’t just undermine the law; it incentivized a massive human trafficking operation spearheaded by ruthless coyotes and cartel kingpins who profited off the misery of desperate migrants paying off their smuggling debts. Meanwhile, millions of newcomers flooded American jobs, forcing down wages, pushing up housing prices, and ramping up crime in communities that had nowhere near the resources to handle it all.
This policy wasn’t a mistake—it was a deliberate economic stimulant engineered by globalist bureaucrats like Alejandro Mayorkas and his Democratic handlers. They worked hand-in-hand with big business lobbyists to flood the U.S. with cheap labor, showing utter contempt for working-class Americans who saw their livelihoods undermined. But now, with a nearly $50 billion injection to beef up detention facilities, ICE is clamping down hard. Migrants who entered the country illegally will be held for the entire duration of their legal proceedings, no more free passes or dubious bond hearings. This is exactly the tough enforcement America desperately needs. It’s a clear repudiation of the failed open-borders fantasy that left the country vulnerable and the national workforce sidelined. The bitter cries from the immigration lawyers and left-wing activists? Predictable.
