Biden’s Censorship Express Derailed: Supreme Court Sets Historic Showdown!

The Supreme Court of the United States has agreed to hear the online censorship case, Missouri v. Biden, where Missouri and Louisiana are challenging the legality of the Biden Administration’s attempt to control what is said on social media. But hold on to your hats, folks, because the court has also lifted a lower court’s injunction that was stopping the government from colluding with the tech giants. Yep, you heard that right. Biden’s team can now continue to censor free speech on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. How’s that for government overreach?

The Fifth Circuit Court put the initial order in place to stop the government from pressuring social media companies into censoring content. But the Supreme Court’s decision to lift the injunction means that Biden’s Big Tech buddies can continue suppressing free speech without any consequences. Justices Alito, Thomas, and Gorsuch were the only ones smart enough to see through this sham and voted against the decision. Good for them!

Justice Alito wrote a fiery dissent, pointing out that the government failed to prove that any harm would come from enforcing the lower court’s order. But that didn’t stop the majority from sticking with their decision. It seems like the First Amendment is just a suggestion to them.

This case all started when Trump-appointed U.S. District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty ruled against the government’s actions, calling them “dystopian” and comparing the government to Orwell’s ‘Ministry of Truth.’ Even the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Judge Doughty’s ruling, although they did limit the number of government offices affected. But apparently, that wasn’t enough for the Supreme Court.

The case will be heard in the Court’s next term, and until then, the restrictions on the Biden Administration will be lifted. Justice Alito rightly expressed concern that this decision will give the government the green light to control what we see and hear on social media. It’s a scary thought, folks.

This case was initially filed by Senator Eric Schmitt when he was the Attorney General of Missouri. He called it one of the most important free speech cases in a generation, and I couldn’t agree more. Our voices are under attack, and it’s up to the Supreme Court to defend our right to speak our minds. Let’s hope they make the right decision and protect our First Amendment rights.
