Joe Biden has once again pulled the rug out from under the rule of law with his latest slew of pardons for the most questionable figures of his presidency. In a move reminiscent of a desperate third-world dictator trying to cover up scandal after scandal, Biden has decided to let loose pardons on his allies, including Mark Milley, Anthony Fauci, and members of the January 6th committee like Liz Cheney. This perplexing abuse of power may just earn him an honorary title as one of the most corrupt presidents in American history.
Among those receiving the presidential nod of approval is Mark Milley, who infamously chose to engage in treasonous behavior by reaching out to the Chinese government during the last election. Milley’s claim of wanting to protect the nation doesn’t override the glaring fact that he made a mockery of military protocol by suggesting he wouldn’t follow orders from his commander-in-chief. This is a gross dereliction of duty that, frankly, should have had him packing his bags long before this pardon ever came to light.

The so-called “science guru” Anthony Fauci also finds himself on this elite list of pardoned individuals, and it raises eyebrows as he has been at the center of numerous scandals. Fauci has continually misled the American public regarding the origins of COVID-19 and his potential involvement in unethical research at the Wuhan Lab. His lying under oath during congressional hearings is so egregious that it would make most common criminals cringe. But Biden, ever the stalwart defender of his allies, decided to ignore the rule of law yet again for the sake of camaraderie.
And who could forget the dubious actions of Liz Cheney and her compatriots on the January 6th committee? Cheney’s alleged witness tampering is just the icing on the cake. With accusations flying that she communicated improperly with witnesses, it’s clear that her legislative duties were more about creating a narrative than seeking the truth. This scandal paints a picture of a committee that not only acted beyond its bounds but may have altered crucial evidence in pursuit of a partisan agenda.
As Biden wraps up what is arguably the worst presidency in modern times, he has showcased a stunning disregard for decency and justice. By issuing pardons like they were candy on Halloween, he appears to be validating the wrongdoings of those who have served under him. The façade of “defending democracy” crumbles further when one considers that a real leader would uphold the law rather than manipulate it to protect allies from facing consequences.
The next administration must seize this moment as a call to action. The pardons do not shield these individuals from accountability in the future. They can still be brought in for questioning, forcing them to confront their past lies or risk prosecution. This isn’t just about politics; it’s about restoring faith in the rule of law that has been so egregiously trampled under Biden’s watch. The scales of justice must be balanced once again, and those who have skirted the law should not get to rest easy just because of a last-minute presidential reprieve.
