The latest revelations from an explosive book about President Biden’s time in office paint a shocking and deeply troubling picture. Americans deserve leaders who are sharp, decisive, and accountable. Instead, what we had was a president so frail and struggling that his own team debated whether to put him in a wheelchair. Think about that—a country led by a man only able to stand with practice. Priorities in this administration are more than just a little out of whack.
This travesty goes even deeper. Biden’s condition was reportedly kept under wraps, even from members of his own Cabinet. The inner circle could shield him from the truth, but who were they fooling? Certainly not the American people, who witnessed the president’s gaffe-filled speeches and embarrassing public appearances. It’s a terrifying thought that decisions affecting our lives were filtered through layers of handlers, not coming directly from the president himself. Trust? Hardly.

Even Biden’s ability to manage a 2 a.m. call was questioned. No president should be so ill-prepared that their own team wonders if they can handle an early-morning crisis. We’re not just talking about embarrassing gaffes or confused looks at press briefings; we’re talking about national safety. And yet, high-ranking officials enabled this charade. They handed off briefings, muttering about Biden’s capability behind closed doors while projecting confidence to the world.
The narrative pushed by his aides is a slap in the face to transparency and truth. Aides claimed they didn’t see warning signs, yet we could all see Biden stumbling through the public eye. His own national security adviser feigns shock over Biden’s debate performance when the signs were clear long before that. It’s worse than incompetence; it’s a betrayal. They were complicit in maintaining the façade that Biden was fit for office.
In any competent system, leaders are held accountable for their actions—or lack thereof. But time and again, liberal leadership sidesteps accountability. Will they ever face the music? Or is the cycle of decline set to repeat with some new figurehead at the helm? The American people deserve to know who’s really leading—and why they weren’t given the truth all along.
