On Thursday, President Joe Biden gave yet another speech touting his beloved Bidenomics. But despite his eagerness to sell his economic plan, the American people just aren’t buying it. According to RealClearPolitics, Biden now has a 37 percent disapproval rating on the economy, while 59.4 percent of Americans disapprove of his handling of the issue. Ouch!
But did that stop President Biden from defining Bidenomics in his remarks? Of course not! He seems to be living in an alternate economic world where everything is rainbows and unicorns. And who needs polls when you can just make up your own reality?
Bidenomics, as the president explained, is all about investing in America and Americans. It’s about growing the economy from the middle out and the bottom up, instead of from the top down. Sounds great in theory, but in practice, it often leads to higher taxes and burdensome regulations that stifle small businesses and hinder economic growth.
But according to President Biden, we’re living through one of the greatest job-creation periods in history. Really? It’s hard to believe when just the day before his speech, it was announced that inflation actually went up. Thanks in large part to skyrocketing gas prices. And yet, Biden had the audacity to promise to lower those gas prices. As if we haven’t heard that one before.

Let’s not forget that this is the same president who tried to escape blame for rising gas prices before. And his recent decision to end gas and oil leases in the Arctic certainly won’t help matters. So forgive us if we have our doubts about his ability to deliver on that promise.
And while Biden was busy patting himself on the back for record-low unemployment rates for black, Hispanic, and veteran workers, he conveniently left out the fact that unemployment has gone up. But hey, who needs facts when you can just cherry-pick the ones that make you look good, right?
Perhaps the most cringeworthy moment came when Biden bragged about having more women than men in his cabinet and his penchant for picking judicial nominees based on their race and sex. Last time we checked, qualifications and merit were supposed to be the deciding factors for these positions, not identity politics.
But wait, there’s more! Before his speech, the White House and Biden’s official accounts posted claims about “MAGAnomics”, as if that’s still relevant. It’s no surprise that Biden used this opportunity to demonize his political opponents and paint them as extreme. But let’s not forget that Americans continue to trust former President Donald Trump more to handle the economy. Sorry, Biden, but the polls don’t lie.
In the end, while Biden may be touting Bidenomics and trying to convince us of its greatness, the American people aren’t buying it. And with rising inflation and gas prices, it’s no wonder. It’s time for President Biden to face the reality that his economic plan isn’t living up to its promises. But hey, at least he has his own alternate reality where everything is going swimmingly.
