Joe Biden’s farewell speech, hilariously scheduled for post-prime time viewing, seemed more like a final jab than an exit strategy. Perhaps the Democratic Party should apply some principles of basics of campaign strategy: when one part of the team is stumbling, they might consider finding the right time to pass the baton—preferably without the public drama.

As the remnants of his legacy hang in the balance, with Kamala Harris seemingly benefiting from a post-Biden rebound, one can only sit back and watch what comes next.
