In yet another installment of President Joe Biden's noteworthy moments, our nation's leader once again found himself in the spotlight, drawing both amusement and bewilderment with his latest remarks. It's almost as if he's in a competition for the title of "Chief Gaffe Maker."
During a lengthy speech last Friday, President Biden embarked on a journey into the realm of questionable statements. He boldly declared that he had personally been present at "every mass shooting." Really, Joe? Every single one? It seems either he possesses an extraordinary teleportation ability or he's stretching the truth to its limits. This is the same individual who once claimed to have been arrested in South Africa while attempting to meet Nelson Mandela. It's hard to believe, but these statements are part of the Biden repertoire.
But the storytelling didn't end there. In a somewhat comical moment of self-deception, President Biden introduced a young House member named Maxwell Frost to his newly established "violence office." However, he also asserted that he had to wait an agonizing 17 days to become eligible to serve in the Senate simply because he was a youthful 29 years old at the time. Now, mathematics might not be the president's strong suit, but even a fourth-grader could see that something isn't adding up here.
Of course, President Biden couldn't resist voicing his support for more stringent gun control measures. According to him, if you need a magazine with 80 rounds, you shouldn't own a firearm. However, it's worth noting that criminals tend not to follow the rules when it comes to gun ownership. So why penalize law-abiding citizens who seek to protect themselves and their families? It's a perplexing proposition.

In his somewhat disconnected state, President Biden also decided to tackle the global stage. He pledged to confront both Russian President Vladimir Putin and, rather curiously, former President Trump. Apparently, our president believes he can single-handedly safeguard American democracy. It's remarkable how he can pack such confidence and grandiosity into one sentence. Although he's only been in office for a few months, he claims to have served for 800 years. It's as if he's the Energizer Bunny of politics, persistently offering up outlandish claims.
And let's not overlook the White House's latest creation, the Office of Gun Violence Prevention. President Biden appears to believe that this office will miraculously resolve all our firearm-related issues. However, criminals tend to be indifferent to executive actions, continuing to find ways to exploit the system while leaving law-abiding citizens vulnerable. But at least President Biden can pat himself on the back for another virtuous gesture.
It's increasingly evident that President Biden's version of reality often diverges from our own. His ongoing stream of baffling remarks and grandiose promises resembles a circus act more than statesmanship. It may be time for the American people to see through the smoke and mirrors and demand a leader grounded in truth and common sense
