In a recent appearance on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) expressed her doubts about the possibility of President Joe Biden facing impeachment anytime soon. Despite the ongoing impeachment inquiries against Biden, Mace believes that it is highly unlikely that the required 60 votes could be secured in a Democrat-controlled Senate. However, she emphasized the importance of continuing investigations by the House Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means committees. Mace also called for more subpoenas and stressed the need to present all the uncovered evidence to the American people.
Mace highlighted the urgency of these investigations, especially considering Biden’s potential reelection in 2024. She argued that the court of public opinion should determine whether a president who allegedly profited at the expense of his country should be allowed to remain in office. Additionally, Mace has been vocal about her desire to speak with former Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who has claimed that Biden influenced his removal in 2016.
As the 2024 presidential race unfolds, Biden will be competing against Democratic candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson, while the Republican Party has thirteen contenders vying for their party’s nomination. Ultimately, Mace’s remarks underscore the uphill battle that Republicans face in their efforts to impeach President Biden and the significance of the ongoing investigations for shaping public opinion.
