The latest report on inflation is in, folks, and surprise, surprise, it’s not looking good for the American people. The Consumer Price Index, which measures the cost of goods and services for everyday Americans, is still on the rise. In November alone, there was an increase of 0.1 percent, bringing the total increase over the past 12 months to a whopping 3.1 percent.

Now, you might be thinking, “What’s the big deal?” Well, let Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) tell you. He pointed out that prices are now a staggering 17.4 percent higher than when good ol’ Joe Biden took office. That means that this Christmas, many hardworking parents are going to be struggling to afford that special holiday meal or presents for their kids. Thanks a lot, President Biden.
This inflation crisis is hitting everyone where it hurts, but especially American workers. Real wages have gone down by 3.7 percent since Biden took office. That’s right, folks, your hard-earned money is worth less now than it was before. And to add insult to injury, the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates to the highest levels we’ve seen in over two decades. Mortgage rates have skyrocketed to 7.8 percent and credit card debt has surpassed a mind-boggling $1 trillion.
But do President Biden and his pals in the Democratic Party care? Of course not! They’re too busy patting themselves on the back and pretending that everything is just peachy. They’re living in an alternate reality where prices are supposedly falling and small businesses are thriving. Meanwhile, working families can’t even afford to fulfill their kids’ Christmas wish lists.
And don’t get me started on the so-called journalists at the Associated Press. They’re bending over backwards to downplay the inflation numbers, claiming that it’s “ticking down.” Seriously? Have they even looked at the actual report? It clearly shows that inflation is on the rise in every category.
Now all eyes are on the Federal Reserve to see what they’re going to do about this mess. Will they actually do something productive and raise interest rates further to combat inflation? Or will they just keep sitting on their hands and let the American people suffer? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure, folks, we can’t afford to ignore the economic hardship caused by President Biden and his tax-and-spend policies. It’s time for real solutions, not empty rhetoric.
