When it comes to Joe Biden and bipartisan efforts, one might as well be talking about a unicorn playing the banjo — the concept sounds delightful, but it seems to exist only in the imagination of the left. During a recent visit to storm-ravaged North Carolina, Biden felt the need to rally the troops, urging Americans to “put politics aside” in the wake of Hurricane Helena’s devastation. This came, of course, moments before he launched into a sermon about climate skeptics being “brain dead.” Talk about mixed messaging.
The aged president, who apparently hadn’t checked the calendar, announced that there are no Democrats or Republicans, just “Americans.” This is the kind of rhetoric one might expect from a slightly confused uncle at Thanksgiving dinner rather than the leader of the free world. In a classic display of political acrobatics, he pivoted from brotherly love to name-calling faster than a kid on Christmas morning tears into presents, a move that surely made his aides cringe.
Biden’s attempt to tie the hurricane to climate change is nothing new. However, what does merit attention is the complete lack of conclusive evidence linking Helena’s fury to the mythical “climate crisis.” It begs the question: if he can prove a direct causation, shouldn’t this earn him a Nobel Prize? Many a researcher has been fishing for that holy grail, but thus far, the waters remain murky. Warm oceans? Yes. Verifiable links to climate change? Not quite.
In reality, the frequency of hurricanes hitting the U.S. continues to be misrepresented. Like a magician pulling rabbits out of hats, the left has conjured the idea that storms are becoming more potent. Reputable sources have pointed out that, contrary to the prevailing narrative, hurricanes making landfall have been on a slight decline since 1900. Clearly, one has to wonder if Biden and friends are simply using a different spellbook.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris hopped over to Georgia with her own brand of bipartisan charm, reminding folks of the “beauty” of Americans coming together in hard times. But really, is calling dissenters “brain dead” truly reflective of the best in humanity? It seems more like a desperate dodge to hide behind words when one’s policies lack substance. Critics quickly reacted, with even Trump’s campaign chiming in, noting the irony in Biden’s “uniter” persona while he hurls insults at climate skeptics.
In a delightful twist of fate, Biden’s own handling of the situation came under scrutiny, specifically his choice to monitor the chaos from his cozy beach house in Delaware. If these actions don’t scream “division,” then there’s a great chance that the term has lost all meaning. Yet, it seems that it’s only “divisive” if Republicans do it, a clever game of double standards that the left has mastered. All in all, Biden’s latest climate crusade may have made a splash, but it’s safe to say it’s not the unifying wave he hoped for.
