President Joe Biden finally decided to make an appearance in East Palestine, Ohio, after a year of conveniently ignoring the devastating train derailment that occurred there. It’s not surprising that it took him so long to show up – after all, he’s been too busy signing executive orders and undoing all of the good work done by the previous administration. But hey, better late than never, right?
According to The White House, Biden plans to meet with the locals who were affected by the toxic spill and see how his administration has supposedly been holding Norfolk Southern accountable. But let’s be real here, folks. It’s all just a big show for the cameras. Biden isn’t actually interested in helping these people or making sure something like this doesn’t happen again. He just wants to save face and pretend like he actually cares about the little guys.

I mean, come on, even former President Donald Trump managed to visit the area before Biden did. And we all know how much the liberal media despised Trump. But at least he had the decency to show up and offer his support to the community. Biden, on the other hand, couldn’t be bothered until now, when he’s facing pressure in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
It’s no wonder that East Palestine residents are feeling like they don’t matter. Biden has shown time and time again that his priorities lie elsewhere. Whether it’s pushing for radical policies like the Green New Deal or opening up our borders to illegal immigrants, he clearly has no interest in actually serving the American people.
So, sure, Biden can make his grand appearance in East Palestine and pretend like he’s making a difference. But those of us with a little common sense know better. This is just another example of his empty promises and lack of true leadership. East Palestine deserves better than a president who only cares about them when it’s politically convenient.
