Biden’s Own Co-Chair Breaks Ranks on Border Crisis

In a shocking turn of events, President Joe Biden finds himself at odds with a key figure in his own campaign. Veronica Escobar, the co-chair of Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign, has openly expressed her disagreement with Biden’s stance on the southern border crisis. Escobar, who also serves as the Congressional Progressive Caucus leader and Democratic Texas Representative, recently took a stand against Biden’s support for a congressional border security deal.

You know it’s bad when even your own campaign co-chair is calling you out. Escobar, in an interview with Politico, made it clear that she was not pleased with Biden’s promise to “shut down” the border if the border security deal goes through. She criticized his choice of words, stating that it’s not language she would ever use. Well, isn’t that just a fancy way of saying she thinks Biden is full of baloney?

But wait, there’s more! Escobar didn’t hold back when expressing her disappointment with the lack of action on immigration reform. She claimed that the Democratic party and Biden should have tackled the issue sooner. It seems like Escobar has had enough of the empty promises and political posturing. She sees through the charade and recognizes the strategic mistake that has been made.

Let’s not forget about the current border bill that Republicans and Democrats have been going back and forth on since December. Escobar has some serious concerns about it. She mentioned something about “rapid expulsion” policies being a red line for her. Apparently, she believes that rapid expulsion hasn’t worked in the past and will continue to be ineffective. Well, excuse us, but we didn’t realize Escobar was an expert on border security. Maybe she should have a chat with the border patrol agents and see what they have to say.

If all of that wasn’t enough to raise eyebrows, Escobar dropped another bombshell. She revealed that even fellow Democrats are now using the same terms as Republicans when it comes to immigration, including the dreaded phrase “closing the border.” Oh, the horror! Escobar couldn’t help but point out that the president himself is guilty of using those words. It seems like Biden’s own party is turning against him on this issue.

It’s clear that there’s trouble in paradise for President Biden and his reelection campaign. When your own co-chair is publicly disagreeing with you, it doesn’t bode well for unity or strong leadership. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for the president to reassess his stance and listen to those who are actually living on the border and dealing with the consequences of his policies. But hey, what do we know? We’re just conservative Republicans who believe in securing our borders and putting Americans first.
