White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is proving once again that humility is definitely not her strong suit. In a recent podcast interview, she shamelessly boasted about being handpicked by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for the job. According to Jean-Pierre, she was chosen because she is “beyond capable” and represents various communities as a black woman.
Now, if Jean-Pierre is truly representing the voice of the president, one has to wonder whether President Biden is aware of what’s going on or if he just defers to others. After all, Jean-Pierre is often seen stumbling during press briefings and deflecting questions to other departments. She even has the audacity to blame the previous administration for issues that arise.
But wait, there’s more! Jean-Pierre wants everyone to know that she’s not just a black woman; she’s also queer and an immigrant. She seems to believe that these characteristics automatically make her the perfect choice for White House Press Secretary. It’s no secret that this administration is obsessed with selecting candidates based on their race, sex, and sexual orientation, all in the name of so-called “equity.”

During a recent press briefing, Stephen Benjamin, director and senior adviser at the White House Office of Public Engagement, proudly stated that the administration’s focus is on equity. Biden himself has made racial equity a top priority, demanding that every cabinet member do the same. It’s clear that this administration values diversity above all else, regardless of an individual’s qualifications or abilities.
But let’s not forget about Jean-Pierre’s track record when it comes to actually answering questions. She consistently fails to provide satisfactory answers, especially when it comes to Hunter Biden’s questionable business dealings. It’s evident that she’s more interested in towing the White House narrative than in being transparent with the American people.
In the end, Jean-Pierre’s self-promotion and lack of humility only highlight the administration’s obsession with identity politics. It’s a shame that qualifications and competence are taking a backseat to diversity quotas. The American people deserve better than a press secretary who prioritizes her own historic status over honesty and accountability.
