The White House is feeling the heat as President Joe Biden’s press conference turned into a full-blown disaster. According to a panelist on CNN, the situation was a “five-alarm fire,” and it’s not hard to see why.

During the press conference, Biden took issue with a report by special counsel Robert Hur, which found that the president deliberately kept classified documents but would not be charged. Hur’s report painted a bleak picture of Biden, describing him as an elderly man with a poor memory who had forgotten the death of his own son, Beau Biden. Ouch.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, speaking on CNN, didn’t hold back in her criticism of Biden’s speech. She pointed out that while Biden may have been cleared of any wrongdoing, the report still revealed some troubling revelations. Biden was shown to have discussed classified documents related to the Afghan war plans with individuals who did not have the proper clearance. This kind of recklessness in handling classified information is deeply concerning.
But it wasn’t just the content of Biden’s press conference that was problematic. Griffin also called out the president for using a bizarre talking point to defend himself. Biden claimed that he had to step away from an international crisis involving Israel to deal with a self-inflicted investigation. This kind of excuse does not inspire confidence in the American people.
CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin chimed in with his own analysis, highlighting Biden’s verbal gaffe during the press conference. Biden mistakenly mentioned Mexico when discussing the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. It’s moments like these that stick with people, and Biden’s age and mental fitness are increasingly being questioned.
Indeed, Biden’s numerous verbal gaffes and memory lapses have raised concerns about his ability to effectively lead. From falsely claiming to have spoken with deceased world leaders to forgetting basic details, such as the location of his son’s memorial service, Biden’s cognitive abilities have become a subject of scrutiny.
And it’s not just his mental fitness that’s at issue. Biden has also had physical mishaps, including multiple falls and stumbling on the steps of Air Force One. These incidents further fuel the narrative that Biden is not up to the task of being president.
