President Joe Biden’s habit of making nonsensical comments has caught up with him, as even his loyal allies are starting to question his credibility, according to a scathing article by Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler. Kessler himself acknowledged Biden’s tendency to exaggerate or embellish tales about his life, leading to doubts about his truthfulness. One such example is Biden’s recent remarks about the devastating wildfires in Maui, where he claimed to have a personal understanding of losing a home. However, Kessler pointed out that contemporary news reports do not support Biden’s version of events, raising eyebrows and fueling criticism that he had lied to a vulnerable audience.
But the wildfires anecdote is not an isolated incident. Biden has repeatedly claimed to have been arrested while trying to visit Nelson Mandela in apartheid South Africa, a story that has been debunked multiple times. Even after being called out for spreading falsehoods, Biden stubbornly clings to the narrative, amending his statement to claim he was “stopped” at the airport instead. However, others who were on the same delegation have denied that such an incident occurred. It seems that Biden’s credibility takes a back seat to his desire to manufacture an image of himself as a civil rights activist.
And let’s not forget the president’s recent claim of personally witnessing a bridge collapse in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania last year. Biden confidently declared that he had seen the collapse happen with his own eyes, describing it in excruciating detail. However, there is no evidence to support his assertion, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that Biden has a habit of making up stories to fit his narrative.
These incidents not only call into question Biden’s truthfulness but also his mental sharpness and ability to distinguish fact from fiction. It’s alarming that the leader of the free world can’t seem to keep his stories straight or separate reality from imagination. Perhaps it’s time for Biden to focus less on spinning tales and more on addressing the pressing issues facing our country. The American people deserve a president who can be trusted to tell the truth and make sound decisions, not someone who is prone to inventing their own version of reality.
