Biden’s Top Gun Bails: Fears WWIII On Horizon!

A high-ranking official from the US State Department has resigned due to President Joe Biden’s support for Israel, with concerns that it may lead to a catastrophic World War Three. Josh Paul, who was formerly the Biden official for the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, took to social media to share his dramatic resignation. In his resignation letter, Paul cited the US’s continued provision of lethal assistance to Israel as the reason for his departure. He expressed disagreement with the policy decision to rush more arms to one side of the conflict, calling it shortsighted, destructive, and unjust.

While Paul condemned Hamas’ brutal attack on Israeli civilians, he believed that Israel’s response, including American support for it, went too far. He expressed concerns about the potential escalation by Iran-linked groups or Iran itself, viewing it as a further exploitation of the existing tragedy. Paul firmly believed that Israel’s current course, along with American support for it, would only bring more suffering to both Israelis and Palestinians and was not in America’s long-term interest.

Paul’s decision to resign came after Biden announced assistance to Israel worth millions of dollars, reiterating the United States’ unwavering solidarity with Israel’s right to defend itself. However, Paul felt that continued and expanded provision of lethal arms to Israel represented a point where the harm outweighed any potential good he could do in his role. He criticized the administration’s response, along with much of Congress, as impulsive, politically convenient, intellectually bankrupt, and driven by bureaucratic inertia.

Paul expressed the view that America should not take sides in the conflict, alleging that Israel had committed “gross violations of human rights.” In response, Biden reaffirmed his support for Israel while also ensuring that aid reached civilians caught in the crossfire. He announced $100 million in humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza. However, many critics argue that this assistance could end up supporting terrorist organizations like Hamas.

GOP Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas echoed these concerns, implying that humanitarian assistance would serve as a resupply for Hamas terrorists. He accused President Biden of further emboldening Iran and its terror proxies. This latest development adds to the growing tensions surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with strong opinions and differing approaches within the US government.
