Joe Biden had a rough day on Wednesday. First, he almost knocked over the Brazilian flag and ditched President Lula da Silva without shaking his hand. Not a great start. Then, at a campaign fundraiser, Biden repeated the same story he had already told, word for word. Not exactly the brightest move if he wants to appeal to people for money. But things didn’t get better on Thursday during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden appeared to be slurring his words and couldn’t seem to stop saying the word “partners” over and over again, for no apparent reason. Even his own staff seemed concerned by his behavior. Samantha Power tried to play it off like it was normal, but Jake Sullivan’s face said otherwise. He looked uneasy and blinking, probably thinking, “He’s glitching again.” Yikes.

But the worst moment of the night came when Biden addressed the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute at their Annual Gala. Except he seemed to forget where he was and referred to the Congressional Black Caucus instead. Oops. It’s concerning how often Biden seems to mix things up and forget important details. Can he even keep track of where he is anymore? And what happens when he goes off script? It’s a scary thought.
It’s hard to believe that Democrats haven’t pulled him out of the 2024 race yet. If they seriously think Biden is fit to run, they’re fooling themselves. His slurring is only getting worse, and they refuse to be transparent about it. How many more embarrassing moments will it take for them to realize that Biden is not up to the task? I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t even make it through his term without serious issues or relying on Kamala Harris. It’s a mess.
