In a bold move, Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee is calling for the release of flight logs from Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane, also known as the “Lolita Express.” During a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting, which was primarily focused on an ethics investigation into Justice Clarence Thomas, Blackburn introduced the idea of issuing subpoenas to Epstein’s estate for the flight records.

Given the serious allegations of human trafficking and sexual abuse surrounding Epstein, Blackburn argues that it is crucial to identify everyone who was on the plane, how many trips they took, and the destinations they traveled to. She believes that shedding light on this information is long overdue, and it is essential for the world to know who may have been associated with Epstein’s illicit activities.
Although the meeting abruptly adjourned without any subpoenas being called up, Blackburn’s push for transparency gained support from Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, who questioned why anyone would oppose the release of the flight logs unless they were concerned about being implicated themselves.
The topic of Epstein’s flight logs gained attention last month when a protester interrupted an event attended by Hillary Clinton to ask about her husband’s visits to Epstein Island. Pilot Larry Visoski testified during the trial of Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell that Bill Clinton had been a passenger on Epstein’s plane, although Visoski clarified that he never witnessed any sexual incidents during his time as the pilot.
While some of the flight logs from 1995 to 2013 were released during Maxwell’s trial, no information has been made public for the years beyond 2013 until Epstein’s death in 2019. This lack of transparency raises questions about who else may have been involved in Epstein’s alleged crimes.
In an unrelated development, a federal judge recently approved a $290 million settlement in a class action lawsuit against JP Morgan Chase for its alleged involvement in enabling Epstein’s trafficking operations. The settlement is expected to provide compensation for approximately 200 abuse victims.
The call for transparency surrounding Epstein’s flight logs is crucial to fully uncovering the truth and potentially exposing other individuals who may have participated in or enabled his criminal activities.
