In a lighthearted Fox News report, fans of the Baltimore Ravens were asked if they were proud of the commander in chief, and the majority responded with a resounding “no.” The reasons varied, with one fan citing high gas prices, another pointing to the state of the economy, and another comparing the southern border to the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive line – “wide open.”
When asked what advice they would give to Biden, the fans didn’t hold back. One woman suggested that it was time for Biden to hang up his cleats, while another recommended that the 81-year-old president avoid stairs. But amidst the jokes, one woman gave a compelling answer in the context of the upcoming election. She admitted that she wouldn’t normally vote for Donald Trump, but if it came down to Trump versus Biden, she would choose Trump.

The fact that even in a deep-blue city like Baltimore, everyday people are expressing their disdain for Biden’s actions and policies is significant. It shows that people can see through his facade and aren’t afraid to voice their opinions, even in Democratic strongholds. Jokes about “Sleepy Joe” and his inept vice president are commonplace, as his job performance and mental fitness are clearly laughable.
These football fans recognize that the economy has worsened since Biden took office, despite the pandemic restrictions coming to an end. In fact, one could argue that the country is in a worse position now than during the pandemic. Gas prices, for instance, have consistently been above $3 per gallon since Biden’s presidency began. GDP growth has slowed, and reckless government spending has caused inflation to spike, resulting in the average family paying over $11,000 more for goods and services compared to the Trump administration.
While the average football fan may not be deeply interested in politics, their ability to afford basic necessities like heat and food will heavily influence their vote. The prices they see every day at grocery stores and gas stations will have a significant impact on their decision at the polls. And if Biden continues to ignore these concerns and downplay the reality facing everyday Americans, he may find himself facing even more opposition in the next election.
