A shocking catastrophe is unfolding right in front of our eyes on the San Diego shores, and yet, we see nothing but silence and inaction from the powers that be. Raw sewage from Mexico, yes, our neighbor to the south, is contaminating American waters and putting the health of our brave Navy SEALs at risk. Officials have known about this for years, and still, our warriors are training in waters that are nothing short of toxic stew. If they’re not heroes for enduring this unforgivable situation, then who is?
The notorious Tijuana River has been the culprit, spewing millions of gallons of filth into our oceans for decades. Military trainees suffer from gut-wrenching illnesses, a result of repeated exposure to these muck-filled waters. This isn’t a new problem. This is negligence at the highest level. How is it that in a country as advanced as the United States, we cannot ensure the safety of those who fight for our freedom? Meanwhile, bureaucrats sit in plush offices, turning a blind eye to their plight.

It’s a FEMA-level disaster and a national disgrace. How do we expect to maintain a robust military when our elite forces are sideline due to incompetence and inaction? Imagine the outcry if this was happening in a liberal bastion! There would be rallies and protests until something was done. Yet here we are, with little more than shrugs and half-hearted promises of future action.
The stench from the SEALs’ training grounds isn’t just a symbol of environmental decay; it’s a metaphor for the foul management and twisted priorities that dominate today’s politics. Those in charge continue to ignore what’s happening right under their noses. While border officials grapple with their own exposure to these conditions, the environmental concerns of the Tijuana River are swept under the rug.
Enough is enough! Our military deserves better than being poisoned by foreign filth. Our border agents should be able to focus on national security, not protecting themselves from hazardous waste. Isn’t it ironic that while the left clamors for every sort of policy under the sun, they’re silent about real, pressing threats at home? Conservatives must demand accountability and immediate remediation. Why are we tolerating this betrayal of our servicemen and women? Where’s the outrage over this real threat to national security?
